Since 2000 when the Company started importing rice and sugar, Hippo Limited has developed close relationships with both import supply sources and local distribution outlets resulting in the solid supply chain network the company currently enjoys.
Consequently, from 2009 Hippo Limited has been the leading importer of sugar in Ghana. Our key strengths is the partnership with ED&F MAN SUGAR Limited in London, which is the world’s leading sugar trading company and the internal logistical capacity offered by a sister Transport Company, Hippo Transport Limited.

Additionally, Hippo Limited has developed vital facilities and structures to support its operation and reduce associated risks. Key facilities are internal warehousing capacity providing 150,000 metric tonnes of storage, including custom bonded warehousing, internal logistical strength of 200 cargo trucks, modern office facilities, marine and storage insurance policies on imported goods and insurance policies on goods in transit transported across the length and breath of the country and beyond. The Company is securing additional 50 MAN trucks expanding its transport fleet and capacity.
